6-keto-prostaglandin F1a (6-keto-PGF1a) is a downstream product of arachidonic acid and prostaglandins G2 (PGG2) in eicosanoid biosynthetic pathways (Pediatr Pulmonol. (2013)). It can be detected using LC-MS/MS and GC-MS method. The concentrations of EBC 6-keto-PGF1a in asthmatic patients are significantly higher than the healthy control (Pediatr Pulmonol.
