Description of Prostaglandin F2 with associated disease summary

Prostaglandin F2 (PGF2a) is a downstream product of arachidonic acid and prostaglandins G2 (PGG2) in eicosanoid biosynthetic pathways (Pediatr Pulmonol. (2013)). It can be detected using GC-MS method. The concentrations of EBC PGF2a in asthmatic patients are significantly higher than the healthy control (J Allergy Clin Immunol. (2011)).
