Kynurenine
Description
Description of kynurenine with associated disease summary
Asthma
The concentrations of EBC kynurenine decreased in asthma patients (Thorax. (2013)) compared with healthy control. This result supports the hypothesis that the pulmonary IDO activities are impaired in patients (Thorax. (2013)). However, the rhinovirus infection which is linked to the asthma cannot change the pulmonary IDO activities in patients.Summary of extracted biomedical information
Kynurenine is associated with abnormalities such as Oxygen toxicity and Convulsions. Kynurenine is associated with Amines and indole.Associated references with human 3

MeSH:
Asthma
A form of bronchial disorder with three distinct components: airway hyper-responsiveness (RESPIRATORY HYPERSENSITIVITY), airway INFLAMMATION, and
intermittent AIRWAY OBSTRUCTION. It is characterized by spasmodic contraction of
airway smooth muscle, WHEEZING, and dyspnea (DYSPNEA, PAROXYSMAL).
