High altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE) | High altitude pulmonary oedema (HAPO)
The N,N-dibutylformamide compound can be formed in radical reactions from urea or uric acid, or from degradation of larger molecules. The peak for N,N-dibutylformamide was identified, and the study suggests it may be a potential discriminatory marker for patients with HAPE history. Further studies are needed to establish mechanistic details of formation and biological basis for the detected biomarker compounds ( J Breath Res. (2015) ).Summary of extracted biomedical information
