Introduction of Human Breathomics Database
Human Breathomics Database is a reference database, providing 2766 related references, 1143 compounds and 60 diseases associated with human breathomics.It is so challenging to understand about the breath molecules in related to disease, mechanism, and pathways we identified from our experimental analytical measurements due to the lack of organization of breath molecules and their related literature organization and summarization embedded in the enormous literatures. Thus, we deployed a text-mining pipeline to extract biomedical information from literatures and gathered our researchers in our institutes to manually organize and curated literatures to provide a breath molecules knowledgebase. The Human Breathomics Database (HBDB) collected total of 1143 volatile organic compounds in human exhaled breath reported more than 2766 literatures. The number seems to be relative small but it is the most comprehensive knowledge database regarding to volatile organic compounds in human exhaled breath up to date. HBDB is useful for researchers and clinicians who are into investigating potential biomarkers from patients' breath.

HBDB contains 23 lung-associated diseases with 179 references, 17 airway-associated diseases with 42 references, 1 kidney-associated disease with 1 reference, 1 intestine-associated disease with 1 reference, 1 esophagus-associated disease with 1 reference, and 1 heart-associated disease with 1 reference.
